Free Orion is a free Open Source space game based on the Master of Orion strategy game in which you conquer galaxies.  You start with a small planet and aim to conquer the entire galaxy. Whether you like it or not, you will have to deal with strange peoples who will either be willing to trade or who will want to wage war. Your ability to research and produce will decide whether your people survive or not. To run the program on your PC, you need Win XP with SP2 as well as NET Framework 2.0 and an OpenGL-capable graphics card.
