You always wanted to know what it would be like to take the controls of a large jet, or even a small airplane. Now you don't even need a license to find out! Simply download Flight Gear. This is an Open Source flight simulator project. Starting and controlling the planes is a little tough for beginners, but this makes the entire thing much more realistic. The graphics and the realistic behaviour of the planes makes it acceptable. Takes a while to really get into the simulator and beginners may not have all that much fun at first.
