ActiveNote shows desktop notes by using the ActiveDesktop function of Microsoft Windows. With ActiveNote you can write notes on your desktop, that can be edited and set to "hidden". ActiveNote does not need its own process and this is what's so special about it. Because of ActiveNote using a Windows process you can rely on its functionality. If you want to use notes that you created under another Windows installation, you can copy and import the notes from the "My Documents/ActiveNote" folder.
